IKARI LASER MOUSE REVIEW
Well if you’re like most people and have been using computers for many years now no matter....

Well if you’re like most people and have been using computers for many years now no matter whether its’ for work or just for fun, then you most likely have used several different types of computer mice. After your use of each if asked, your opinion of these will probably vary greatly for several different reasons after giving it a little thought. You don’t only have to worry about the performance, but the design and comfort that the device possess especially if you’re using a computer with a mouse for many hours at a time.
As I’ve said before I’m one of many that have used many different computer mice over the years, and with this being said I decided to attempt to find the perfect mouse that fit my every demand and need. After reviewing many over a period of months my search finally ended after my experience with the Ikari Pro gaming Laser mouse made by Steelseries. This mouse by far stands out above the majority of computer mice on the market within the same or similar price range.
Ikari is nothing short of awesome. When I first received the mouse I immediately started reviewing the information on the box and my first impression even before using it was “this is going to be sweet,” and I can’t say enough that I was right. Not only does the Ikari have an ergonomic design that seems to fit easily into either palm of your right or left hand with comfort, but the Ikaris’ visual appearance lacks nothing less than A-class quality. I, along with many others use my computer for work at least twelve hours- plus a day and then for fun several more hours on top of that. I found out right away with the Ikaris’ design my hand never seemed to want to drift away do to slippage of grip or design failures. This feature alone is a big plus definitely from a pro-gamers point of view.
Upon the overview of the mouse one of the other first differences that stood out to me and produced the “Awe factor” is the Ikaris’ one line LCD screen on the bottom that allows for adjustable CPI settings without the hassle of having to use software or drivers. That’s right I said no software or drivers needed! On top of that, Steelseries also left you with many choices for settings which are very unique ExactSens and range from 1-3.200 (CPI steps), so how’s that for variety and individualized tuning, you can choose between 1 and 3200. Oh yeah, by the way I forgot to mention that you can put anything into the Ikari for it to show up on the LCD screen like your name, nickname, title, password, CPI, whatever you chose so you decide but I thought that was very neat option in itself. The Ikari also comes with accompanying software which really doesn’t have to be used but has everything about the mouse and all its functions and capabilities within. The software can be used for re-binding your buttons and their settings, for sensitivity settings, and freemove all explained in step by step in-line options through quick guides for each. The software also comes with a list of pro-gamer profiles which can be downloaded and are unique for each pro-gamer and list the individuals own choices of settings.
The Ikari also has on the left upper side a neat little white light which is the CPI high or low indicator light for whenever viewing your status might be necessary without a hassle. Steelseries also incorporated the “freemove” technology that allows for the ability for fine-tuning and also onboard macro capabilities designed to increase the actions per minute of its user.  The movement of the Ikari was nothing short of fast and stable which makes it a great choice for gamers from the beginner who needs more assistance in precision or the pro that just needs consistent accuracy.  The Ikari mouse also has the usual scroll wheel which is located directly above the button that allows one to toggle between users.
Overall I say anything more than I think the Ikari mouse if just an awesome piece of technology from its design to its full performance potential. This mouse is great for people who demand top of the line performance, dependability, and with that also get ease and comfort with each use. Since their beginning in 2001 Steelseries have manufactured nothing short of top of the line, high grade accessories and professional gaming gear. Steelseries works in cooperation with some of the leading professional gamers to aide in the development and continued production of many different gaming peripherals for meeting the needs of individuals that demand top of the line technology.
