Call of Duty 4 is by far one of the best shooters this year, it was a big change from the previous Call of Duty series and a good one indeed.  Infinity Ward sure knows how to make a great game and it was a risk to break away from the WWII timeline into Modern Warfare but it was a great decision because CoD4: Modern Warfare plays so well and the graphics are fabulous.  Outstanding may I add…>>

The level designs are near perfect, when playing online you feel the excitement build up, Matchmaking can be slow but worth the wait.  Levelling up is pretty fast and simple (well for me anyways) and a leaderboard you can view where you are ranked.  There is no difference between both Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 version as far as I can tell apart from the controllers, one rumbles and the other don’t but that don’t take the fun out of both versions. None of the whole console prefered over the other like 1-2 sites *cough* ...so if your a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 owner, you can buy without any hisitation of a bad version over the other!

As you level up your status (lvl 4 to customize) you unlock perks, challenges, camouflage skins and new weapons which is very good keeps you wanting more.  There are loads of challenges for you to master and unlockables which keeps it fresh, looks like Infinity Ward did their homework.  Each weapon has its own challenge and pretty straight forward, completing challenges gives you a lot of exp points which is worth it if you want to level up faster…>>

The feeling you get from playing CoD4 online is exciting from team death match to Team based modes, I haven’t been this exciting about fps’s since the good ol’ counterstrike days.  The thrill of going up close and performing a melee with your knife (one kill sweeeeet) to throwing grenades feels good, even for people who don’t enjoy fps’s gets the thrill of performing a kill in CoD4.  You get to lay low on the grass or hide inside buildings while aiming out of the window which makes it more like war instead of just running about killing, which you can but it doesn’t matter which way you run theirs always going to be someone behind.  By killing enemies without dyeing in a certain number gives you the privilege of activating UAV, airstrikes which makes you feel like god.  War hasn’t been this fun until you witness first hand CoD4 and it won’t let you down one bit.

Now to the single player mode…no co-op which is a little let down since nowadays co-op is essential in most fps’s as with war games, co-op adds to the fun but hey I’m not complaining since CoD4 is a one man soldier! As with most reviewers said it was a short 6-7 hours single player experience but it toke me 10-11 hours, maybe because I was playing it on veteran and exploring every building to find the computer data’s!  The single player experience is sweet and keeps you in the edge of your chair while it last, not a let down at all unless you were looking for a perfect single player story experience…try Bioshock! Once you completed all the missions, you unlock the arcade mode which puts you into certain challenges, earning points while completing a certain task, replaying any mission or entire story again.>>

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is going to be one hell of a classic game and by the looks of things it’s staying for a long time…if you haven’t brought COD4 yet then you must be crazy not to own may I say the best if not then one of the best fps’s around on  both Xbox 360/Playstation 3 and the PC. Infinity Ward you’re amazing!
